The salary range for this role is: $139,123.17 - $250,289.63

Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales for the Club Channel will be responsible for achieving merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving objectives for Costco and BJs annually.

This role involves direct sales responsibilities for Costco HQ/PL initiatives, regional management, international business (Mexico, Asia, Europe), BJs Wholesale, and leading strategy and innovation for Costco and BJs.

The Director will have two direct reports: BDM Club West and BDSM Club East.

Achieve Fiscal Year Financials:

  • Direct and deliver key financial metrics versus AOP sales with an aligned trade spend plan

In-Market Execution:

  • Develop customer-specific objectives aligned with Del Monte's strategic plan
  • Execute merchandising strategies for key events
  • Manage daily pricing within GTMS
  • Grow GDPs and maintain share of GDPs

Customer Development:

  • Lead JCBP partnerships at various levels with Costco and BJs, and develop strategies for the club channel
  • Deliver new item objectives and develop bids and contracts for new distribution opportunities
  • Coordinate label, graphics, and packaging changes with internal teams
  • Manage plant tours and develop forecasts aligned with contracts
  • Ensure international regulatory compliance
  • Train teams on customer requirements
  • Develop annual plans with growth strategies for the next 2-3 years
  • Leverage cross-functional resources for growth initiatives

Capabilities:

  • Utilize cross-functional teams to drive volume and share growth
  • Manage business forecasting across segments
  • Translate consumer strategies into customer-level plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years retail sales experience in CPG or with a broker; 5+ years in Club channel sales
  • Proven success in sales planning, forecasting, trade spend, and retail execution
  • Deep knowledge of Costco and Club culture, private label experience (D13 a plus)
  • Strong P&L, data analysis, and launch experience
  • Ability to develop and present growth strategies
  • Customer needs analysis and plan customization skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic, problem-solving, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
