We are partnering with a leading provider of piston aircraft engine overhauls to recruit a new Director of Maintenance. The Director will lead and manage all aspects of maintenance operations for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities at their facility in Loveland, Colorado. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all piston engine overhaul and general aviation aircraft maintenance activities are executed with the highest levels of safety, compliance, efficiency, and quality. The Director will oversee a diverse team of maintenance professionals, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in maintenance operations.

Role, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, etc.).
2. Create logbook entries, associated 337's when applicable, and other FAA/logbook forms for all maintenance performed. Maintain a general knowledge of all work and inspections being performed.
3. Perform direct maintenance as required.
4. Review all records of work performed and maintain permanent records.
5. Maintain service manuals, instructions, bulletins, airworthiness directives, and aircraft records.
6. Possess knowledge and experience in all levels of maintenance, including sheet metal, fabric work, paint, and engine overhaul.
7. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional maintenance facility and personnel environment.
8. Establish and maintain the maintenance department training records.
9. Determine maintenance personnel requirements based on current and projected workloads, ensuring mechanics are qualified, competent, and properly supervised.
10. Be responsible for correcting safety or compliance issues.
11. Audit all logbook entries and aircraft paperwork prior to signature.
