Our client a top building materials supplier is looking for a Location Controller in their Grand Junction branch.

The Controller's primary responsibility is to oversee all accounting-related activities within the branch, inclusive of general ledger research and ownership. They are also the go-to support partner for associates with accounting and HR questions and concerns.

Primary duties:

• Managing the location's general accounting, financial statement review, fixed assets, inventory control, payables/receivables, costing and margin, payroll administration, and general ledger account reconciliation.
• Month/quarter-end coordination and closing.
• Providing Human Resources administration to ensure employee relations administration, such as recruiting, benefits, new-hire orientation, termination documentation, payroll, workers' compensation, FMLA, EEO, AAP, etc. in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:

• College degree in Business or Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a distribution environment
• 3+ years supervisory experience
• Proficient in inventory control, AR, AP, payroll, general ledger reconciliation, fixed assets, month-end closing.
• HR background a huge plus
