Senior Mining Engineer

We're partnering with a purpose-driven mining operation seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Mining Engineer to help lead planning, production, and process optimization. This is more than just a technical role-it's an opportunity to shape the future of mining alongside a team that values sustainability, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Creating and executing strategic mine plans and production schedules (short- and long-term).
• Leading feasibility studies, cost assessments, and operational optimizations.
• Tracking and analyzing mine performance, aligning efforts with budgets and goals.
• Implementing and enforcing safety and environmental best practices.
• Offering hands-on technical support and mentorship across operations teams.
• Partnering with surveyors and geologists to maximize resource recovery.
• Using tools like Surpac, MineSight, or Vulcan to model, map, and report.
• Assessing drilling and blasting data to improve efficiency and cost.
• Recommending innovations in mining methods, equipment, and workflows.

What You'll Bring:

• A degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of experience in mining engineering-preferably in underground operations.
• A strong grasp of mining methods, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Proficiency with mine planning and modeling software.
• Leadership and project management skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Comfort working in remote environments and field-based conditions.
• A passion for emerging mining technologies and smarter ways of working.

Work Style:

• A mix of office-based planning and hands-on field involvement.
• May require travel to remote mine sites and exposure to diverse field conditions.
