About the Work Unit. This work unit exists to support operations of 6 Maintenance Supervisor areas. This unit is responsible for the overall operation of all HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems, domestic water systems, sewer systems, avalanche mitigation, Gazex maintenance and operation, rock demolition, liquid systems, bulk fuel, used oil, any building structural needs and all bridge repair and related work for Grand Junction Maintenance Section 2 including snow removal. This work unit is utilized as support for all maintenance operations when needed and are required to respond twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. About the Position. The Utility Plant Operator I performs and directs others in performing the monitoring, compliance verification, installation, repair and preventive maintenance of CDOTs domestic water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the Section.
