The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Colorado Mesa University is seeking applications for an Academic Instructor of Computer Science. This 9-month full-time position is scheduled to begin in August 2026. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and student-focused educator prepared to teach undergraduate computer science courses. This position supports CMUs mission of providing high-quality, hands-on undergraduate education in a supportive and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will: Enjoy teaching undergraduate computer science to a diverse population. Our typical course is capped at 30 students for in-person modality (in-person is our preferred modality), with a standard teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester. Candidates should demonstrate adaptability to the growing diversity of the topics of computer science as well as the needs of a diverse student body.
